The Lagos State Government has officially announced the approval of a ₦4.5 billion Beach Tourism Hub to be situated along the Badagry coastline, with construction expected to commence in the first week of June 2026.

Speaking at a press briefing in Alausa, the Lagos State Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mrs. Toke Benson-Awoyinka, described the project as “the single largest investment in Badagry’s tourism infrastructure in over two decades.”
